Carmen P. Pichard-Encina, M.D. is an Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Pichard-Encina obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and completed her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She then stayed in the Hopkins system to complete her orthopaedic surgery residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. During her residency she was elected to the American Orthopaedic Association resident leadership forum.
Dr. Pichard-Encina was also honored to appear in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery “Heroes” Public Service Announcement Campaign.
Her research interests include musculoskeletal education to non-orthopaedic surgery colleagues, as well as conditions affecting the hand.
