Darioush Nasseri, MD., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with decades of experience both in this country and abroad.
He started his training at St. Andrews University in Scotland, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology, graduating with Honors. He then attended medical school in Bonn, Germany and completed his orthopaedic training in the University Hospitals there, after which he stayed on as faculty assuming the position of Assistant Professor and Chief of Orthopaedic Emergency and Outpatient Services.
Dr. Nasseri later traveled to the United States numerous times gaining clinical experience in leading orthopaedics institutions including Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, among many others. He completed his specialty Fellowship Training here at Johns Hopkins in 1981 in Joint Replacement Surgery under the mentorship of world-renowned surgeon Dr. David Hungerford. During that time, in addition to his busy clinical practice, he also participated in numerous research and treatment endeavors focused on Avascular Necrosis of bone.
Dr. Nasseri has maintained a solo practice at Good Samaritan Hospital since 1983 and now joins the Johns Hopkins faculty with more than 30 years of experience in arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive hip and knee replacements, adult reconstructive and revision total joint surgery, as well as cartilage restoration techniques.
